Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

We have two iconic Rolling Stones posters back in stock. Two versions of the iconic Rolling Stones Lips & Tongue poster.

Rolling stones Lips & Tongue poster Rolling Stones International Lips & Tongue poster

After being out of print for some time we now have stock of the classic Rolling Stones Lips & Tongue poster. Designed by John Pasche in 1970, the pop art design perfectly encapsulated Mick Jagger’s sensuous lips and the Rolling Stones’ rebelliousness and has been in continuous use by the Rolling Stones ever since.

We also have an international take on this Rolling Stones poster design, with the Rolling Stones International Lips & Tongue poster. This Rolling Stones Lips & Tongue poster has the design motif repeated with each tongue decorated with a national flag. This poster also has the legend “Rolling Stones – The World’s Greatest Rock n’ Roll Band” printed on it.

In addition to these two Lips & Tongue poster designs we also have more Rolling Stones posters. Designs include a Rolling Stones 1971 UK tour poster, a Rolling Stones London 1965 poster and a Mick Jagger poster. Click on the following to see our Rolling Stones posters.

Not much needs to be said about the Rolling Stones, just that they are one of the greatest and most enduring rock bands ever, formed in April 1962 and still going now, some 48 years later. A true British rock institution with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts still in the band.

We also have a great selection of other posters available, you can click on the following to see all of our music posters and our TV & Film posters.

New Cheryl Cole posters

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

We are pleased to announce we have two great new Cheryl Cole poster designs available this week. A close-up poster and a beach shot poster.

Cheryl Cole Close Up poster Cheryl Cole Beach poster

We have a Cheryl Cole Beach poster, which as the name suggests, features a great photo of Cheryl lying on a beach. In this poster Cheryl is wearing a white cardigan and resting her head against her arm as she looks into the camera. her rose tattoo can be clearly seen on her thigh in this poster and in the background waves can be seen lapping onto the beach.

The other titles is a Cheryl Cole Close Up poster, which features a head and shoulders shot of  Cheryl. In this poster, Cheryl is wearing a Union Jack style top or dress and looking smoulderingly into the camera lens. She is also seductively playing with her hair.

Cheryl Cole of course made her name initially with Girls Aloud, the top-selling UK girl band which also features Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. Now Cheryl is a star in her own right, having released her solo album 3 Words, and is regarded as something of a national treasure and national sweetheart.

New Rage Against The Machine poster

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

We are pleased to let you know that we have a new Rage Against The Machine poster available. This Rage Against The Machine poster features a photo of the band and the poster is made with a “distressed” feel, with newspaper style print featuring in the background.

Rage Against The Machine have certainly had an interesting time of late, with beating the X Factor winner Joe McElderry to the Xmas number 1 with the classic RATM anthem, Killing In The Name. Killing In The Name was the band’s first single, released in 1992 and also featured on their self titled debut album.  The Xmas number one came about due to an orchestrated online grassroots campaign against the success of the formulaic pop produced by shows like the X Factor. Rage Against The Machine have recently played their promised “thank you” free gig at Finsbury Park, London. The gig saw the band on great form. The Rage Against The Machine Line up is as follows: Zack de la Rocha on vocals, Tom Morello on guitar, Tim Commerford on bass and Brad Wilk on drums.

In addition to the featured new Rage Against The Machine poster, we have a number of other Rage Against The Machine posters available including the classic RATM first album poster, which features an iconic photo of a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, burning himself to death in Saigon in 1963.

Posters in the workplace

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Brightening up the work place with posters can help people feel happier at work and be more productive.
Since the credit crunch many employers have struggled to afford pay rises to keep employees happy and if your employees aren’t happy they will either look for another job or not produce their best work.
Many employees have been looking to low cost ways to inspire their employees, these can be motivational courses and talks, staff nights out and team sports like football or netball. These activities can sometimes get quite expensive and many employees don’t want to spend any more time away from their families and friends.
One solution employers are finding is to make the working environment a nicer to place to be, this can be done by getting in cheap posters or funny posters that brighten up the otherwise dull office walls.  You could even look at getting motivational posters that are a bit tongue in chic, however make sure the posters are suitable for the workplace as your staff may want to put up glamour posters that may not give off the right impression if a client visits.
People advise that football posters could be controversial if you have employees that support different teams but I find that a bit of office banter can help lighten the mood. This is up to you to decide and make sure the banter doesn’t get too out of hand and cross into bullying.
You can buy cheap posters online and for a minimum spend make the workplace a much nicer environment until the credit crunch lifts a little more.

Reebok Poster censored in Glasgow

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Promotional posters are often put up in large cities, whether they are promoting new films, a gig or even a product. However Reeboks latest promo posters have caused a bit of an uproar in Glasgow as they have refused to display them around the city.

Reebok have been using posters to advertise their new trainers called the Slendertone trainer which help to tone legs and bums, sounds great, and the image they have used on the poster is of a ladies toned bum. This has been deemed to provocative for Glasgow city centre and has been banned from being put up outdoors or on the sides of taxis.

Apparently Glasgow are not objecting to the image of the ladies toned behind but more the use of the slang word ‘bum’ which is featured on the poster. The racy image of the lady’s behind was also described as being a hazard as drivers would get distracted and crash their cars, similar to the original Wonderbra poster from the 90’s.

Reebok have accepted Glasgow city centres ruling and will not be displaying their promo posters around Glasgow city to promote the new Slendertone trainers, however have mentioned that the ruling is hypocritical as many taxi’s and promo posters in Glasgow advertise strip clubs and lap dancing adverts using glamour posters that are far more provocative than Reeboks Slendertone poster.

Other cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester are all happy to display the adverts but what do you think? Should Glasgow let Reebok display their posters? Or are they right should certain images be censored? Feel free to comment below.
